The second phase of the Pangea Mathematics Competition - Portugal (Southern Zone) was held on 29 April at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University in Lisbon. At Campus da Caparica, more than 800 students from elementary and secondary education were received, from the 3rd to the 10th grade.
This competition is currently present in seventeen European countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary). Through the motto "Mathematics for all", this Competition intends to unite students from different parts of the country, social strata and levels of education, and make them enthusiastic about Mathematics.
