From April 23 to 29 will be held at FCT NOVA a Spring School on Life Cycle of Materials and Project & Risk Management.
This Spring School will focus on understanding the value chain of raw materials with special focus on exploration and metal mining, replacement and recycling, covering the principle of exploration, mining, processing, material selection and development (including replacement of critical and toxic raw materials), use and end-of-life options (including recycling). It will also provide insight into project and risk management, including demonstrating how to increase the probability of project success, how to improve risk identification, and how to develop successful contingency and mitigation plans.
Several FCT NOVA Departments are involved in the organization of this event, namely the Department of Materials Science, Department of Earth Sciences and Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
