35th Anniversary of the Physics and Materials Engineering Course

Last June 24th, the 35th anniversary of the Physics and Materials Engineering Course was held. The celebrations counted with the presence of the current Presidents of the Physics and Materials Science Departments, Professor José Paulo Santos and Professor Rodrigo Martins.

The opening session was also attended by the Dean of FCT NOVA, Professor Fernando Santana, and the UNL Rector. They were followed by interventions of the founders of the Degree in Engineering Physics and Materials, Professors Leopoldo Guimarães and Augusto Moutinho.

Previous Chairmen of the Departments of Physics and Materials Science were also honored. The 1st student degree in Engineering Physics and Materials Engineer Carlos Dias, made a brief statement about his experience. Testimonies from current students, from the Integrated Masters in Physics Engineering and Materials Science were also heard.
