A call is open for a research scholarship for one technician for X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) funded by the European project EMPIR 14IND06 pres2vac under the following conditions:
Field of study: Surface Physics
Admission requirements: Master's degree in Physics and expertise in surface analysis techniques in particular X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Preference is given to those who show experience in this technique.
Work plan:
The grantee will conduct analyzes X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy as part of ongoing collaborations and supporting research in progress in the area of the Surface Physics.
Applicable laws and regulations:
Law no. 40/2004, of 18 August (Stat Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação Científica); Regulations for Advanced Training and Qualification of Human Resources in 2010.
Workplace:
The work will be developed at the Science Laboratory CEFITEC Surfaces, Faculty of Science and Technology, University Nova of Lisbon under the supervision of Professor Orlando Teodoro.
Duration:
The grant will have the duration of 6 months, starting on 1 June 2016.
Value of monthly maintenance allowance:
The amount of the grant corresponds to € 980, according to the table of the grants awarded directly by the FCT values, I.P. in the country (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores).
Methods of selection:
The selection methods used are the following: Curriculum evaluation (100%). If the jury deems it necessary may call candidates for an interview through the curriculum evaluation to have a weighting of 60% and 40% interview.

Form of advertising / notification of results:
The evaluation of the final results will be publicized through alphabetized list posted visible on the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology and the candidate approved notified by of e-mail.

The call is open in the period of 18 to 31 May.
