The debate promoted by DECO, on last Thursday 25th, discussed the '’Internet of Things'' led by Professor Peter Maló.
"In theory, [the Internet of Things] can anticipate our needs, save our time, our money and to protect the environment. But what implications does this digital transformation may have in life and the ability of consumers free choice?". This was the question that open the debate.
In the end, the answer sought is how do we keep the balance between the benefit from the advantages that the Internet of Things offers maintaining, at the same time, our privacy and prevent businesses and governments have access to all our information ensuring the free choice (of consumers) for the technological solutions and the Internet of Things.
