The Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologiafrom NOVA University of Lisbon streamlines the first edition of the "FCT NOVA Challenge" aiming to increase among Scientific-Humanities Course of Science and Technologies and the Secondary young students the interest in scientific knowledge, the interaction between young researchers and to stimulate the emergence of talent in the areas of Science and Technology as well as teamwork and creativity by carrying out projects/innovative scientific work.
By project it is understood the theoretical design of a prototype, or its construction, its practical resolution or motion for a resolution of an engineering problem; means for scientific work an essay on the possibility of solving a particular scientific problem, conducting an experiment or the creation of an innovative methodology that potentially contribute to the advancement of science.
The competition is recognized by the Ministry of Education through the Directorate General of Education.
