As part of the 40 years commemorative session of the Computer Science and Informatics Course ''Computational Thinking'' is the subject of the 2015 Distinguished Lecture Series from the Department of Informatics of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, NOVA University, this year with the presence of Jeannette M. Wing.
The Distinguished Lecture Series DI-FCT NOVA, launched in 2012, aims to bring to Portugal the most influential researchers in the area of computer engineering, coming either from academia or industry.
This year with the participation of Jeannette M. Wing, Vice President of Microsoft Research (USA), outstanding academic and researcher who will speak on the motion "Computational Thinking", a vision for the Sec. XXI, which argues that "IT thinking" is a fundamental skill used by everyone worldwide.
The Distinguished Lecture 2015 will take place on November 25, 2015 at the Grand Auditorium of the FCT NOVA, starting at 10:00. The session is open to the public.
