DEC promotes European Training and Professional Validation Course

This week, between 28 and 30 July, will be held at FCT-NOVA’s Department of Civil Engineering, a training and assessment course on "BUILDING WITH EARTH – building technique of RAMMED EARTH". This course was organized under the Leonardo PIRATE project (http://pirate.greenbuildingtraining.eu/public/). Units defined by Knowledge, Skills and Competences, and Assessment Criteria defined by ECVET credits (European Credits system for Vocational Education and Training) will be used for the first time in Portugal in the Building sector. The ECVET system aims at allowing the transfer, recognition and accumulation of learning outcomes to obtain a qualification. It gives European Union citizens the possibility to obtain professional qualifications through personal learning outcomes, regardless of the country or educational system.
