On December 20, 2013, the 68th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed the year 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies (International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies - IYL 2015) .The International Light Year is a global initiative that will highlight the importance of light and optical technologies in the lives of citizens as well as the future and the development of societies around the world.
On 8 June, in the framework of the International Year of Light 2015, FCT-NOVA invites for an unforgettable evening to celebrate the Light.
