On 18th June the “Masonry Walls Seminar 2015: Rehabilitation and Innovation” will take place at the Rectory Building of the New University of Lisbon (Campolide Campus). This seminar follows the previous editions held in 2001, 2007 and 2011, dedicated to the discussion of issues related to masonry walls (structural and non-structural). This fourth edition is dedicated in particular to seismic rehabilitation and innovation in the area of the old walls and non-structural walls.
The seminar will count with the participation of several national experts in the field of masonry, being directed to engineers, architects, firms in the construction sector and other professionals interested in the study / behavior of structural and non-structural masonry walls (belonging to historical or vernacular buildings or to current buildings made of reinforced concrete), and their rehabilitation.
Enrollment in the seminar should be made until May 31, because after this date the application value will increase – please see the program at www.civil.uminho.pt/paredes2015 . Members registered in the Engineer’s, Certified Engineers’ or Architects’ Professional Associations can apply with a reduced price.
