Next 3 December around 15:30 FCT / UNL will receive in the Library Auditorium, the Presentation Session of COHiTEC, a training programme in commercialization of new technologies promoted by COTEC Portugal. Please register at http://www.cohitec.com.
The COHiTEC programme aims to support researchers from the National Scientific and Technological System in evaluating the commercial potential of products or services resulting from the technologies they have developed. Over four months, participants have access to support from management students and mentors, and training on topics like: Team Management, Idea Generation and Product Services, Intellectual Property, Finance and Development of a Business Plan. In 2015, the program will take place between March and July in two Management Schools in Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL INDEG Executive Education) and Oporto (Porto Business School), with the support of the US universities of Brown and State of North Carolina and sponsored by CGD and Caixa Capital.
Now in its 12th edition, the COHiTEC has a history of 136 projects, in which more than 600 researchers and management students participated. Projects supported by COTEC yielded 23 technology-based companies and global vocation, which attracted funding totaling more than EUR 18 million.
