Three-dimensional evaluation of the Upper Limb movement presupposes the development of a biomechanical model and its application to a motion capture system, particularly by electromagnetic scanning; this type of system, with wireless structure, is the most common in non-clinical setting. The future evolution of these systems seems to point to the preferential use of systems based on wireless inertial units – accelerometers and gyroscopes, which allow, with appropriate sensitivity, the use of this type of assessment in common clinical setting.
