Prize for the best work in the field of peritoneal dialysis in the 2014 Renal Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology

The study uncovers the existence of protein biomarkers that diagnose the state of the peritoneum and anticipate the evolution of it. The data obtained in this study will allow a better treatment of patients with peritoneal dialysis. The winning work title is “Proteomics : A promising way in peritoneal dialysis” and was presented by H. Santos Ph.D. , J.L. Capelo and E. Araújo M.Sc  from BIOSCOPE – FCT members, in collaboration with Rita Magriço M.D., Fernando Teixeira e Costa M.D. and Aura Ramos M.D., from the nephrology service of Hospital Garcia de Orta.
