In the next 10th and 13th of March conferences on this theme will be held. They all resulti from the collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute in Lisbon and Vicarte . More information http://www.vicarte.org/cont/news7.html . The first will take place 10th and 11th of March, between 14 and 18h . The theme will be " Blowing borosilicate glass in Vicarte studio" and the speaker will be Cesare Toffolo , born and raised in a family of top artists in glass art , pioneered many flameworking techniques , he is the founder of STUDIO CENTER VETRO , a cultural association that appeared 1997 in Murano . He is also responsible for launching the Vetro Magazine published by this organization . Between 2001 and 2003 he coordinated, as Artistic Director, workshops on Glass in Venice and the Isle of S. Marvolo . On the 12th March , at 14h,Marco Verità will talk about " Renaissance enamelled Venetian Glass" . Marco Verità worked over 30 years in the Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro , in Murano and Venice , where he developed research both in ancient and modern glass . On the last day , 13 march at 14h, Francesca Guiibilei lecture will be on " Glass , an impulse immaginative for contemporary art and vice versa ." Since 2008, Francesca Guibilei collaborates with the Berengo Studio, where she works on the development and organization of cultural projects, such as Glasstress , a biennial event dedicated to contemporary art glass . She is also a freelance curator and executive director of Arterra ( Museum and Art Residency in Vienna ) and is an occasional writer on the art world .
