The result of this research aims the importance of studies in new emissive systems based on porphyrin for the detection of toxic metals and manufacture of future economic sensors on devices such as paper and polymers. The magazine cover shows the importance of the existing interdisciplinary collaboration between the two teams and the two universities showing the headlights of Barra in Aveiro, and the lighthouse of Cape Espichel around Lisbon to give and receive the light of science.
