The representatives of Portugal in the COST ACTION FA0905, international scientific research network involved in the European Research Area, which anticipates and complements the activities of the EU Framework Programmes, organize an technical / scientific event (on 24-25 October, in FCT –Universidade Nova de Lisboa), aiming to consolidate the development on an industrial and transnational scale biofortification of staple food.
This event will be attended by representatives of 33 international countries, that coordinate research activities in their respective countries, at an agricultural, chemical, genomic, biochemical / physiological, industrial processing and nutrition levels.
The solemn session (October 24 at 9 pm) will feature representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture (representing the respective Minister) and the UNL-Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Instituto Superior Técnico – Instituto de Tecnologia Nuclear, Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, Investigação Científica e Tropical and ESE Almeida Garrett.
