The development of computational solutions for Energy applications is cross-cutting to different areas of engineering. This topic has been attracting a growing interest from academia and industry alike mostly due to its potential economic and societal impact.
IT4Energy 2012 is an international workshop on IT for energy applications to take place on September 6-7th at the Portuguese Engineering Association in Lisbon. The event, organized by INESC-ID/IST, CITI FCT/UNL and Ordem dos Engenheiros - Região Sul, will gather experts presenting ongoing work, fostering debate and disseminating good practices aiming at a principled engineering approach to the development of computational and information systems solutions for the energy domain.
