Exchange

If you wish to carry out an exchange period outside Europe, you should contact DMIE (div.mie.outgoing@fct.unl.pt) in order to verify if there is an established Protocol with the University where you intend to carry out the mobility.

Students must apply in accordance with the instructions they will receive from the University, by email or which are mentioned on the website. They must comply with the deadlines and procedures indicated to them.

To carry out mobility, you must obtain the agreement of your Course Coordinator at NOVA FCT and send us a copy of all documents of your application process (div.mie.outgoing@fct.unl.pt).

In addition to the documentation required by the University, you must complete the Study plan.

If you need to change your study plan after arriving at the host university, you have 30 days to complete and send us this document - Changing your study plan.

In the end of your mobility, you need to require your Host Institution to issue a Certificate of Attendance.

 

AULP Mobility Program

It is the first academic mobility program to exclusively cover the exchange of students between institutions in Portuguese-speaking countries and Macau (RAEM, China). 9 Countries, 1 Language in common: Portuguese Official Language.

Through the AULP Mobility Program, cooperation is established between higher education institutions, spread throughout the Portuguese-speaking world, allowing students to enjoy an international mobility experience.

Almeida Garrett

The Almeida Garrett Program is a national mobility program for Higher Education students, which aims to promote quality and reinforce the national dimension of Higher Education.

It offers the possibility of carrying out a period of study at a host national university, with full academic recognition.

Its objective is to encourage national cooperation between Higher Education Institutions, to reinforce personal fulfilment, social cohesion and a spirit of citizenship, promoting creativity, competitiveness and, consequently, employability.

Santander Scholarships

Banco Santander has scholarship programs where students can carry out mobility periods at Higher Education Institutions in various countries.

The number of scholarships to be awarded by NOVA FCT will be published on our page, and the information sent to students by email, when applications are opened by Banco Santander.

 

Free Movers

NOVA FCT students can carry out a mobility period as a free mover.

Students must contact the University where they wish to do mobility and deal with all procedures with it, after agreement by the Course Coordinator at NOVA FCT in relation to mobility.

Students are responsible for all travel, accommodation, health insurance and other obligations required by the host University, as well as mandatory procedures for travel and stay in the country of destination (visa, vaccinations, etc.).

Even if the host University does not exempt the student from paying tuition fees and other fees, the obligation to pay tuition fees and other fees at NOVA FCT remains mandatory during the mobility period.
