Students interested in undertaking this type of mobility should gather the necessary documentation (see below) for the formalization of the application and email it to the DMIE (div.mie.outgoing@fct.unl.pt) – Division of Mobility and Internationalization of Education, until November 8, 2024.
Mobility length must be a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Mobility must be completed by 31/07/2025.
The grants will be awarded according to the order resulting from the seriation process and the amount allocated to FCT.
NOVA FCT Erasmus+ Program Rules (pdf)
A scholarship will be awarded (when applicable), according to the foreseen days of the mobility. The student will receive 70% of the assigned amount, within 30 days after the signature of the contract by the Vice-Rector.
The table below shows the monthly reference value (except for so-called "zero grants") attributed for each full month. In the case of incomplete months, the value is calculated by subtracting 1/30 of the monthly value for each missing day, with values rounded to the unit.

GT - Green Travel: Travel in which most of the journey is made using low-emission means of transport, such as train, bus or shared car. This must be declared before the contract is issued and proven by the participant (for example, delivery of fuel receipts, train and bus tickets, etc.) when submitting the documents at the end of the mobility period.
At the end of the mobility, according to the actually fulfilled mobility days (after submitting the declaration of stay and the Traineeship Certificate via https://erasmus.unl.pt, and having submitted the final report in the Mobility Tool), the student will receive (when applicable) the final balance of the scholarship, as per the following rules:
has exactly fulfilled the number of planned days: 30% of the amount originally planned;
length of stay is lesser than the time originally planned: the scholarship is recalculated and is paid the difference between the new amount and the amount already received. If the new amount is lower than the amount already received, the difference must be reimbursed
stay was longer than planned: considering that the available funding has been distributed among the participants, reinforcement of the scholarship is not expectable, unless the participant has formalised the request for an extension (up to 30 days before initially planned end of the mobility), and is approved with additional funding;
if the participant does not successfully complete the traineeship plan (as settled and approved in the Learning Agreement for Traineeships), the EU scholarship will have to be fully reimbursed.
The results of the ranking of applications will be communicated to applicants by Email by the end of November 2024.
