With a multidisciplinary curricula, the Master's in Biotechnology is essential for those who want to develop solutions to complex real-world problems, both in well-established and emerging scientific areas.

The course provides the opportunity to develop other areas, such as ​​technology transfer and the soft skills required for business development and innovation based on science and technology.

A dynamic environment with a strong research component constitute distinguished factors in the training provided, which highlights the relevance of scientific contributions to the development of new Biotechnology products.

The Master's in Biotechnology integrates a multidisciplinary curriculum, is essential for those who want to develop solutions to complex real-world problems, both in well-established and emerging scientific areas. Through the offer of optional curricular units, adjusted every academic year, training profiles are flexible, and can be oriented to meet the interests of each student.

Curriculum

For whom

  • Holders of a bachelor's degree, or legal equivalent, in degrees in the areas of Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering or Technology;
  • Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organized, in one of those areas, in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;
  • Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, in one of those areas, that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the degree by the Scientific Council of NOVA FCT;
  • Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the ability to complete the Master's degree in Biotechnology by the Scientific Council of NOVA FCT.
