Portugal faces a critical challenge in modernizing its building stock. In addition to the urgent need for new buildings, an estimated one million residential buildings require retrofit or rehabilitation. The growing focus on energy efficiency and sustainability, along with the demand for innovative and high-performance facades, highlights the need for highly skilled professionals in this field.
The Master’s in Facade Technology is a strategic response to this demand, designed as a lifelong learning program that grants a Master’s degree in just one academic year. This professional-oriented, evening-program aims to equip students with specialized skills to work in areas as design, consultancy, regulation, leadership, and innovation in the facade sector, addressing the technical, environmental, and socio-economic challenges of the field.
