Promoting an optimized combination between practice and theoretical foundations, reflecting the new paradigms of teaching and learning in higher education, the Master's program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MEEC) at NOVA FCT is commited to a methodology that ensures the underlying technological concepts are understood through application and development of projects that reflect real-world use cases. The curriculum units have a strong practical orientation (hardware and/or software, “hands-on”), exposing and motivating students to the resolution of complex electrical engineering problems, with a multidisciplinary perspective, while reinforcing teamwork organization and management.
The student has the flexibiliby to taylor its education program by selecting two out of six area of specialization, namely: Control and Decision, Digital Systems, Electronics, Energy, Digital Systems, Telecomunications and Robotics and Manufacturing.
The ubiquitous presence of electrical and computer engineering in nearly all human activities and systems ensures a broad of employment opportunities, including roles such as:
In various industries, such as:
Tuition fee - Portuguese students: 1250€ / year
Tuition fee - Foreign students: 7000€ / year
Acceptance tax payment in masters:
Accepted candidates will be required to pay (within 7 consecutive days from the acceptance date) a non-refundable fee of €100, which will be deducted from the total tuition fee after enrolment.
Non-payment within this period will result in automatic exclusion of the candidate. No exceptions or late payments will be considered. Any payment made after the deadline will not be refunded, and the candidate will remain excluded.
Founded in 1993, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) is a teaching and research unit of NOVA FCT dedicated to advancement, research, quality education, and providing the community with specialized services in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
