O Planeta que queremos para o século 21

On World Environment Day, June 5, five promising young people and activists from Portuguese society debate about “The Planet we want for the 21st century”: Luís Costa, from the É P’ra Amanhã project, João Sargedas, from the 100oportunidades initiative, Miguel Matos, the youngest deputy of the Assembly of the Republic, Patrícia Silva, from Movimento Lidera, and João Pedro Gouveia, researcher at CENSE and Drawdown project.

The balance of natural cycles that support life on Earth is shifting dangerously to states unknown to man, as shown by the change in the average temperature of the planet and the loss of biodiversity. Science has been proving that the main cause of this imbalance is in the growing human activity, especially since the middle of the 20th century.

The debate will take place on June 5, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with live streaming on FCT NOVA's Facebook and Instagram, and will be moderated by Júlia Seixas, professor, researcher and president of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at FCT NOVA.
