The final session to present the students' projects from the "Entrepreneurship" course, included in the NOVA FCT Curriculum Profile, will take place on February 23 February, from 9.30am to 1pm, at the Grand Auditorium.

The event features inspiring talks by Paula Videira, NOVA FCT professor and founder of CellmAbs, and Francisco Nogueira, alumnus and CEO of Glooma, both successful companies that were born at NOVA FCT. António Grilo, President of the National Innovation Agency, is the third keynote speaker confirmed for the session. On this day, 12 teams out of the 200 projects developed will take the stage to present their ideas to a jury comprising representatives from both industry and academia. In a format reminiscent of a university Shark Tank, the students will showcase their innovative ideas for both the national and international market.

The three winning projects will be awarded cash prizes of 2,000 euros for 1st place, 1,000 euros for 2nd place and 500 euros for 3rd place, as well as prizes awarded by the seven sponsoring companies that support the Programme, ASSECO, Deloitte, EY, Jerónimo Martins, MEXT: Mota-Engil Next, NOS e, NTT Data. This year the three best promotional videos will also be honoured.

NOVA FCT was a pioneer in Portugal in investing in a teaching model that includes complementary training areas in its curriculum, such as the Entrepreneurship course. Since its first edition, in 2013, it has trained more than 10,000 students and has enabled more than 2,000 technological and innovative business ideas.

The NOVA FCT Entrepreneurship Programme takes place under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
