Rodrigo Martins, professor and researcher at the Department of Materials Science at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, is the winner of the 2021 Career and Recognition Award from the Portuguese Society of Materials (SPM).
The SPM Board of Directors announced the decision on December 17th, recalling the successful career of the prestigious professor and researcher at an international level.
Full Professor at NOVA School of Science and Technology, he is Director of CEMOP-Center for Excellence in Microelectronics, Optoelectronics and Processes;President of the European Academy of Sciences - EurASc; President of the International Union of Materials Research Societies - IUMRS; and member of the Scientific Council of the ERC-European Research Council.
The Prize will be awarded at a ceremony to be held during the MATERIALS 2022 meeting, which will take place in Marinha Grande, between April 10th and 13th.
