November is the birthday month of NOVA School of Science and Technology. The 42 years of this School will be celebrated once more with the Commemorative Session on november 13th, at 2 pm in the Great Auditorium.
On this day we will praise the teachers, students, researchers and collaborators. They are the main reason for the success of this Faculty that has been noted at various times throughout this year.
The year 2019 was no exception. It was because we are a faculty of excellence that we were chosen by the Prime Minister, António Costa, to showcase to the Dutch Prime Minister a good example of the innovation and the focus on research “that Europe has been doing”. We were the first Portuguese college to host the European Science Olympics. We are the largest Portuguese institution to coordinate H2020 funds. Our teachers and researchers have been the experts chosen to comment on a number of current issues. Our research has been recognized in several occasions. Our Professors have been called to important positions in world-class institutions in their fields, and our students have distinguished themselves academically and in sports.
These successes are the result of work that is not exhausted in twelve months.
