FCT NOVA holds two meetings aimed at promoting new approaches to software education and the implementation of Industry 4.0 among European and Asian educators, industry and government entities.
Between May 29 and 31, FCT NOVA and UNINOVA-CTS are organizing the 15th China-Europe International Symposium on Software Engineering Education (CEISEE), which will take place at Hotel Aldeia dos Capuchos.
The meeting aims to explore new approaches to the evolution of software engineering education, in line with the trend of technical development and software education requirements. CEISEE serves as a platform for educators, industry and government entities to share their experience and broaden their academic horizon in this area, in particular to strengthen the exchange of knowledge between China and Europe, two major powers in this area.
This symposium will be attended by Xiaofei Xu (Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, China), Bing Wu (Head of International Partnering and Engagement, Technological University Dublin) and Thomas Knothe (Fraunhofer IPK - Head of Business Process Modeling Group).
At the same time, the third general meeting of the ERASMUS + SHYFTE 4.0 Project will take place on FCT NOVA campus, in which FCT NOVA is a partner through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The main objective of this project is to promote support among leading universities in Europe and Asian universities to design and implement new learning methodologies and materials to improve implementation related skills and abilities in Industry 4.0.
