Next 10th September, Eng Carlos Pimenta will be the guest in the inaugural class of the 2014/2015 Policy and Innovation Environment Seminar. The theme of the session will be "Institutional Innovation Environment: the case of the creation of the Basic Law on the Environment and the wind cluster in Portugal" .
Carlos Pimenta is a unique personality both in national and international environmental policy. From his vast professional, civic and political resume we stand out:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (1979);
- Founder of GEOTA (1981);
- Secretary of State for the Environment (1983-1984 and 1985-1987) and was the principal architect of the innovative Law on the Environment 1987;
- Member of the European Parliament (1987-1999), rapporteur of files such as climate change, the traffic of toxic waste, biodiversity, among others;
