Diogo Almeida was awarded on 29 July de 2013 in Lanzhou, China the Sheldon Datz prize from the international conference ICPEAC - International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions - as an "Outstanding Young Researcher attending ICPEAC". The prize is related to his PhD thesis work that was performed at CEFITEC, Departament of Physics and supervised by Prof. Paulo Limão-Vieira.
