Erasmus+ Interinstitutional Agreements

Representatives

The agreements are established between Universities and are signed by the official representatives of each University. Currently, the representative of NOVA University Lisbon is Professor João Amaro de Matos, Vice-Rector for Education and International Development.

Validity of agreements

Agreements can be established/renewed until 2027/2028.

Contacts for the establishment of agreements are made by the teachers of both institutions. However, teachers will have to liaise with the Erasmus Coordinator of their Department, as the agreement has to be settled in the name of the Erasmus Coordinator. All specifications included in the agreement will be strictly complied, namely the type of vacancies (1st cycle, 2nd cycle or 3rd cycle), the length of the student's stay in the institution, the number of vacancies, the area of studies.

Teachers interested in establishing/renewing an Erasmus+ agreement should refer to link, in order to ensure the partner institution is or remains eligible, i.e. holds a valid Erasmus Charter.

Once the draft of the agreement is completed, it should be sent to the International Relations Division - DRI - div.ri.agreements@fct.unl.pt, to be validated and go through the proper administrative follow-up.

In addition to the completed draft of the agreement, one of the following forms must also be filled in and sent to the DRI, depending on whether an agreement is being established or renewed:

The DRI ensures the draft, and respective establishment/renewal file are directed to the Rectorate of NOVA, in order to be analysed by the Vice-Rector for Education and International Development. The Vice-Rector will evaluate the relevance of establishment/renewal of the agreement, and decide whether or not to sign it.

Regardless of approval or refusal to establish/renew an agreement, the DRI will always inform the FCT NOVA Erasmus Departmental Coordinator responsible for the agreement.

If confirmed, the DRI will also direct the agreement to the partner University. Finally, a copy of the agreement, which is previously signed and stamped by both parties, will be sent to the FCT NOVA Erasmus Departmental Coordinator responsible for the establishment/renewal of the agreement.
