One of the world's largest and rarest pterosaurs (flying reptiles) trails was discovered in 2010 at one of Lourinhã's beaches by Professor Octávio Mateus.
The Gulbenkian Prize for Research Incentive 2016 Chemistry and Art was awarded to two students from the Department of Conservation and Restoration of FCT NOVA.
Professor Virgílio Cruz-Machado, President of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, was distinguished with the "IEOM Distinguished Service Award".
It was held on November 9, at the Grand Auditorium, the 39th Anniversary of the Faculdade de Ciências e Técnologia of the NOVA University.
